What is Health?

Is health just the absence of dis-ease?

How do you feel in your own body right now?  Relaxed, breathing deeply, not hungry, not too tired, no aches or pains, no discomfort, no complaints?

Do you rarely take any drugs; have all your hair and all of your original teeth?

If so, do you believe that you are healthy?   Why or why not?

You may have discovered the keys to staying healthy, but are not giving yourself enough credit.  If not, it is simply due to a complex function of many factors, some inherited, some lifestyle, some emotional, some learned in childhood and babyhood, some from past lives, and some from the external influences that are beyond your control, such as air quality, stress at work, electro-magnetic radiation, and many more.  In many situations, it is due to a lack of internal communications between endocrines, organs and various body parts.  This can be due to blockages in the nervous system, the meridian system, the chakras, the aura, the wei chi protective energy, scars, and a host of other internal concerns.

All of these can now be addressed with the BodyTalk System:   yes, even including modifying your RNA/DNA to change inherited tendencies.

In future essays, we will go deeply into the many factors that you can control.  For now, let’s just list a few of the common ones you know about but may not have the time or money to deal with on a daily basis.

Nutrition---Food organically grown on fertile soil, preferably locally, harvested when ripe, not overcooked, not too greasy, not stuffing till you are overfilled is the ideal.  Chew it thoroughly, to give your stomach and digestive system less work to do.  Digestion starts with the enzymes in your saliva.  Mix them well with the food, and drink lightly while chewing.  You may need to supplement with vitamins or herbs to make up for the preservatives and other stuff your body does NOT want that you are feeding it.

We can help you find that balance.

Water---Water quality is getting to be a big concern to many people.  We have had a few that showed an overdose of chlorine in the bloodstream, and some who can’t tolerate fluorides.  Bottled or spring water is a good choice…or purchase a reverse osmosis system for your kitchen drinking water.  At the very least, if you are using city water, add a carbon filter to your drinking tap.

One glass of water shuts down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University study.

Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen.

Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.

Are you drinking the amount of water you should every day?   (The above statistics came in from a client’s email.  I’m not sure of the source of the information.---Bill)

Beverages---Most bottled and canned drinks contain large amounts of sugar or worse, artificial sweeteners.  The preservatives that are in many are not good for you.  Please read the labels.  Pure fruit juice, tea (but watch for too much caffeine), occasional coffee, soda pop on rare occasions, and so on will serve you well.  Most people can handle occasional alcoholic beverages well, but too many drinks in one week will do liver and brain damage.  We can help with BodyTalk if you have a tendency toward addiction.

Exercise---Most of us sit too long every day, including those of us reading and writing at a computer.  See the essay section of this website for a good overview of this topic.

Fresh air---Do you sleep with the bedroom window open?  Do you get outdoors at least for a few minutes every day?  And for a long time on nice days?  Most of us are oxygen starved.  Combine exercise and outdoor air as often as is reasonable.

Sleep Habits---Eight hours is only an average!  Some need more, some less.  At times of emergency, you can probably go on very little, but you must make up as much loss as you can as soon as is reasonable.  Sleeping difficulties are usually due to the sub-conscious mind working overtime on emotional issues, but they can have many other causes.  Most are fixable with BodyTalk.

Attitudes---You’ve probably heard a lot about a positive attitude, thinking optimistically, and putting into your speech that which you want to become or to visualize in your future.  This is helpful, but many other factors come into play here.  There are loads of good books and short courses on this topic.  People who come for treatments with a positive attitude tend to respond faster to treatments.

Body Acceptance---this comes up over and over again, largely due to the advertising and peer pressure of our society.  The ads constantly tell us that we can’t be happy (or have the best romance, or the best job, or the acceptance we seek from others) unless we use the products being hawked, reshape our body to look like a model, have our wrinkles removed, and so on.  This includes personal care products, makeup, exercise equipment, clothing, and any item which somehow implies that your self esteem is slipping because you are always using the wrong products.  The next ad tells you that the last one was wrong; you really need THIS product to be happy.  Therefore, most people think that they are too fat, or too thin, or the wrong shape, or the wrong hair style, own the wrong clothes, or whatever they wish was different about them.  You need to accept yourself and your body as it is, first.  Then work on modifying it the way you would prefer.  Stop listening to the public pressure to change the way someone else would make you over.  Do it your way, but do it lovingly, not hatefully.  If you don’t love you, who else will?
